Treatment of Dry cough

In Treatment of Dry cough A dry cough is a cough where no phlegm or mucus is produced. It may cause a tickling sensation or itching in the throat. Zirlon Plus Syrup suppresses severe dry cough and gives your child relief from an itchy throat. Along with taking this medicine, gargling with warm salt water and having ginger or honey can help your child manage the dry cough.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Nausea, Diarrhea, Dryness, Drowsiness, Headache, Skin rash']

Zirlon Plus Syrup is a combination of three medicines: Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, Phenylephrine, and Paracetamol which relieve dry cough. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of the cough center in the brain. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows the small blood vessels providing relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It works by blocking the production of chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that transmit pain signals and induce fever.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Zirlon Plus Syrup is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Zirlon Plus Syrup is recommended. However, prolonged use without consulting your child€™s doctor may impact kidney function in your child. Discuss with your child€™s doctor thoroughly before giving this medicine to your child.

Liver

CAUTION - Zirlon Plus Syrup should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Zirlon Plus Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
