Red-Tar Solution is also an effective treatment for scalp psoriasis and reduces dryness, itchiness and scaling on the scalp. Follow the directions exactly until your condition improves which might take 8 weeks or more.

Pregnancy

Breast feeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Red-Tar Solution is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

If you miss a dose of Red-Tar Solution, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
