How Alfuzosin and Tadalafil Work Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a noncancerous enlargement of the prostate gland. Alfuzosin and Tadalafil is a combination of two medications. Alfuzosin is an alpha blocker that relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder, allowing urine to flow more easily. Tadalafil improves the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia through an unknown mechanism, but it is believed to work by inhibiting an enzyme called phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE 5).
Common side effects of Alfuzosin and Tadalafil include headache, dizziness, upper respiratory tract infection, and fatigue.
