How it Works

How Salbutamol and Beclometasone work Salbutamol and Beclometasone is a combination of two medicines: Salbutamol and Beclometasone. Salbutamol is a bronchodilator that works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widening the airways. Beclometasone is a steroid that acts by stopping the release of certain natural substances in the body that are responsible for inflammation (swelling) of the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Salbutamol and Beclometasone include headache, dizziness, pharyngitis, vomiting, bronchitis (inflammation of the airways), dryness in the mouth, cough, application site irritation, nausea, gastrointestinal motility disorder, fungal infections in the mouth, thrush, and throat irritation.

You have been prescribed Salbutamol + Beclometasone for the treatment of asthma.
This medicine is for inhalation only; do not swallow the tablet.
Take it at the same time every day to maintain a consistent level of medication in your body.
It does not work immediately and should not be used to relieve sudden breathing problems.
Use your rescue inhaler to manage sudden difficulty in breathing.
Dry mouth may occur as a side effect; frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake, and sugarless candy may help alleviate this.
Gargle with warm water after each inhalation to prevent fungal infections in your mouth and throat.
Take the first dose of this medicine under medical supervision, as it may cause wheezing or tightening of the airways (bronchospasm) immediately after use.
Your doctor may regularly monitor your blood potassium levels, as low oxygen levels in the blood (hypoxia) and medications such as Salbutamol + Beclometasone can lower potassium levels.
Only very small amounts of Salbutamol + Beclometasone may be absorbed into the bloodstream after inhalation; therefore, serious side effects are unlikely.
Do not stop taking Salbutamol + Beclometasone suddenly, even if you don’t currently have any symptoms, as this may cause your breathing problems to return.
