Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic that prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria and treating the infection. Betamethasone is a steroid that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) responsible for causing redness, swelling, and itching.
