Naphazoline is a decongestant that narrows the blood vessels in the eye to relieve inflammation, including redness and swelling. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that blocks the action of certain chemical messengers responsible for red, itchy, and teary eyes. Boric acid serves as an antiseptic that treats bacterial infections in the eyes and alleviates irritation. Sodium chloride is a purified salt solution that helps draw out water from the swollen cornea. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose is a lubricating agent similar to natural tears, providing temporary relief from burning and discomfort caused by dryness in the eye.
