How it Works

How Brinzolamide and Timolol work Brinzolamide and Timolol is a combination of two medications: Brinzolamide and Timolol. Brinzolamide is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor, while Timolol is a beta blocker. They work by decreasing the production of aqueous humor (the fluid in the eye), thereby lowering elevated eye pressure.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Brinzolamide and Timolol include blurred vision, changes in taste, eye irritation, eye pain, punctate keratitis, and slow heart rate.

  • Brinzolamide + Timolol is a combination of two medications that lowers intraocular pressure and reduces the risk of vision loss.
  • Apply pressure to the corner of the eye (near the nose) for approximately 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop.
  • If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before applying these eye drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting your lenses.
  • Avoid touching the tip of the dropper to any surface or your eye to prevent contamination of the eye drops.
  • Wait at least 5-10 minutes before administering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
  • Short-term blurring of vision may occur when first using the drops; exercise caution when driving or operating machinery.
  • Temporary burning or itching sensations in the eye may occur; inform your doctor if these symptoms persist.
  • Ensure to use the medication within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
