How it Works

How Drotaverine, Clidinium, and Chlordiazepoxide Work Drotaverine, Clidinium, and Chlordiazepoxide is a combination of three medicines: Drotaverine, Clidinium, and Chlordiazepoxide. Drotaverine is an anti-spasmodic medication that relieves spasms associated with smooth muscles. Clidinium works by relaxing the muscles in the stomach and intestines, stopping sudden muscle contractions (spasms). This action helps alleviate cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine that enhances the action of GABA, a chemical messenger that suppresses abnormal and excessive activity of nerve cells in the brain.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Drotaverine, Clidinium, and Chlordiazepoxide include nausea, vomiting, constipation, dry mouth, difficulty urinating, sleepiness, confusion, blurred vision, impaired coordination, and vertigo.
