Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid are used in the treatment of eczema and psoriasis.

How it Works

How Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid Work Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid is a combination of two medications used to treat eczema and psoriasis. Clobetasol is a steroid that inhibits the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) responsible for making the skin red, swollen, and itchy. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic agent that breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells, and softens the skin. Additionally, it enhances the absorption of Clobetasol into the skin.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid include burning sensation, irritation, and itching.

  • Clobetasol + Salicylic Acid is used to treat:
    • Redness
    • Swelling
    • Itching
    • Discomfort associated with various skin conditions, such as eczema and psoriasis
  • Apply to the affected areas as a thin film:
    • Two or three times daily, or as advised by your doctor
  • Do not cover the treated area with airtight dressings (e.g., bandages) unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
  • After applying Clobetasol + Salicylic Acid, remember to wash your hands (unless your hands are the treated area).
  • Use a mild moisturizer regularly to alleviate skin dryness during the course of treatment.
