How Oxiconazole works: Oxiconazole is an antifungal medication that kills and inhibits the growth of fungi by destroying their cell membranes, thereby treating skin infections.

  • Oxiconazole is effective in treating skin infections caused by various types of fungi.
  • Personal hygiene tips:
    • Wash your hands with soap before and after applying the cream.
    • Do not share towels or clothing with others.
    • Wear clean clothes daily to prevent infection.
    • Complete the full course of treatment, even if you start to feel better.
  • It may take a few weeks for the infection to resolve and several months for the skin to return to its normal color.
  • Oxiconazole is not taken orally, thus it does not typically cause many side effects.
  • Apply a sufficient amount to cover the affected area and an additional 1 inch of the surrounding skin.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
  • Inform your doctor if the infection has not resolved after four weeks of treatment.
