In Blood cancer (Chronic myeloid leukaemia) Blood cancer, also called leukemia, is a cancer of the blood-forming tissues, that decreases the body's ability to fight infection. Alsatinib Tablet kills or stops the growth of cancer cells and also prevents the multiplication of cancer cells. It is a potent and very toxic medicine and you should discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. You should avoid drinking alcohol while having this treatment and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Anemia (low number of red blood cells), Breathing problems, Fatigue, Fever, Headache, Infection, Low blood platelets, Musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain, Nausea, Rash, Vomiting']

Alcohol

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Alsatinib Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Not Safe: Alsatinib Tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.

Driving

Not Safe: Alsatinib Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Take special care when driving in case you experience side effects such as dizziness and blurred vision with Alsatinib Tablet.

Kidney

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Alsatinib Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Alsatinib Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Alsatinib Tablet is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Alsatinib Tablet is recommended.

If you forget a dose of Alsatinib Tablet , simply continue with your regular schedule and do not take a double dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Take it with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Diarrhea may occur as a side effect. Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools. Use a reliable contraceptive method to prevent pregnancy while you are taking this medicine and for a month after you stop taking it. Monitor your blood pressure regularly while taking this medication. Inform your doctor if you notice symptoms of very high blood pressure such as severe headache, confusion, problems with your eyesight, nausea or vomiting. It may cause serious bleeding problem. Inform your doctor if you get headaches, stomach pain or if you notice blood in your urine or stools. Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
