These infections may include otitis media (ear infection), sinusitis (sinus infection), tonsillitis (infection of tonsils), dental abscess (tooth infection), pneumonia (lung infection), cellulitis (skin infection), and urinary tract infection. The presence of probiotics reduces the chance of side effects like stomach upset or diarrhea in your child which may occur due to the prolonged intake of antibiotics.Anthoxin 125mg Tablet DT is also given for several infections that are suspected to be caused by the bacteria but the type of bacteria is not known (empirical therapy). Usually, children start to feel better within 2-3 days of regular dosing. Make sure to finish the recommended course of the medicine as stopping the medicine abruptly may lead to ineffective treatment or worsen your child�s condition.

How Anthoxin Tablet DT works Anthoxin 125mg Tablet DT is an antibiotic with a probiotic agent. Amoxycillin, the antibiotic, works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is essential for the survival of the bacteria. This action aids in killing the infection-causing bacteria and prevents the infection from spreading without making them resistant to further treatment. The other agent, lactobacillus, helps prevent side effects such as diarrhea by restoring the balance of healthy bacteria in your child�s gut.

Kidney

Anthoxin 125mg Tablet DT should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Anthoxin 125mg Tablet DT may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

Liver

Anthoxin 125mg Tablet DT is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Anthoxin 125mg Tablet DT is recommended.

Remain calm. Unless your child�s doctor has provided specific instructions, administer the missed dose once recalled. If it's nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed one. Adhere to the prescribed dosing schedule and avoid administering a double dose to compensate for the missed one.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Complete the entire course of antibiotics without stopping the medicine in between. Doing so may cause the bacteria to multiply again, become resistant, or cause another infection. Conditions like the common cold and flu are caused by viruses. Never use this medicine for such conditions. Give Anthoxin 125mg Tablet DT to your child only for their current infection. Avoid storing the medicine for future use as it is impossible to judge whether the same medicine would work for any future illnesses. Stop this medicine and immediately report to your child�s doctor in case your child develops an itchy rash, facial swelling, or breathing difficulties while taking this medicine.
