Take it regularly and make appropriate lifestyle changes (such as eating healthy and staying active) to maximize the effectiveness of this medicine. Keep taking it even if you feel well.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Atrolet EZ Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Atrolet EZ Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Atorvastatin and ezetimibe. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medicine which prevents your body from making "bad" cholesterol (LDL) while raising "good" cholesterol (HDL) levels. Ezetimibe is a cholesterol absorption inhibitor which prevents absorption of cholesterol from the intestines. Together, they provide better reduction of cholesterol in your body.
UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Atrolet EZ Tablet.
UNSAFE - Atrolet EZ Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Atrolet EZ Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
UNSAFE - Atrolet EZ Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Atrolet EZ Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Atrolet EZ Tablet is recommended.
CAUTION - Atrolet EZ Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Atrolet EZ Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Atrolet EZ Tablet is not recommended in patients with moderate to severe liver disease.
If you miss a dose of Atrolet EZ Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
