If the pressure in your eye is too high, it can damage your sight. Take it regularly as prescribed by your doctor. If you stop taking it, the pressure in your eye will not be controlled. This could lead to a loss of sight.

How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Avva 250mg Tablet SR may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How it works
Avva 250mg Tablet SR is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor. It works in glaucoma by decreasing the production of aqueous humour (fluid in the eye), thereby lowering the increased eye pressure.

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Avva 250mg Tablet SR is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. Doses of up to 1000 mg daily produce low levels in milk and would not be expected to cause any harmful effects in breastfed babies.
UNSAFE - Avva 250mg Tablet SR may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. .Avva 250mg Tablet SR can occasionally cause short-sightedness, drowsiness or confusion which may affect your ability to drive.

What if I forget to take it?
