In Treatment of Bacterial infections Cipdoxivid LB cap is a versatile antibiotic medicine which can be used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria. These include infections of the blood, brain, lungs, bones, joints, urinary tract, stomach and intestines. It can also be used to treat sexually transmitted diseases. It stops the growth of the bacteria causing the infection and clears the infection. It also helps treat as well as prevent diarrhea that may occur due to the use of this medicine or due to stomach/gut(intestine) infections. Take it for as long as prescribed by the doctor and avoid skipping doses. This will make sure that all bacteria are killed and they do not become resistant.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Cipdoxivid LB cap may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Cipdoxivid LB cap is a combination of two medicines: Doxycycline and Lactobacillus. Doxycycline is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by the bacteria to carry out vital functions. Lactobacillus is a live microorganism which restores the balance of good bacteria in the intestine that may get upset with antibiotic use or due to intestinal infections.
UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Cipdoxivid LB cap.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Cipdoxivid LB cap is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Cipdoxivid LB cap is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
UNSAFE - Cipdoxivid LB cap may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. Visual disturbances such as blurring of vision may occur during treatment with doxycycline.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - There is limited information available on the use of Cipdoxivid LB cap in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
CAUTION - Cipdoxivid LB cap should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Cipdoxivid LB cap may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
If you miss a dose of Cipdoxivid LB cap, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
