In Treatment of Bacterial infections Infections caused by bacteria are known as bacterial infections. Comax Syrup is an antibiotic which is used to treat different types of bacterial infections. Comax Syrup works by stopping the growth of the bacteria. It is effective for bacterial infections of the lungs, throat, urinary tract, ear and stomach. It is advisable to continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and difficult to treat.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Comax Syrup is to be taken with food.
Comax Syrup is a combination of two antibiotics: Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim. These antibiotics work by preventing the bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Comax Syrup is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. There may be a possibility of skin rash in the baby.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - It is not known whether Comax Syrup alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
CAUTION - Comax Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Comax Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Comax Syrup is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

If you miss a dose of Comax Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
