How it works
Deritard Injection is a combination of two bronchodilators: Etofylline and Theophylline. They work by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widen the airways. This makes breathing easier.
UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Deritard Injection.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Deritard Injection may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Deritard Injection is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. Avoiding breastfeeding for 2-4 hours after Deritard Injection can further decrease the exposure of medicine to the baby.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - It is not known whether Deritard Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - There is limited information available on the use of Deritard Injection in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
CAUTION - Deritard Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Deritard Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
