Diapar Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Paracetamol. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also increases the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. This prevents nausea and vomiting caused due to migraine. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and an anti-pyretic (fever reducer) which blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and fever associated with migraine.
UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Diapar Tablet.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Diapar Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Diapar Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
UNSAFE - Diapar Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
CAUTION - Diapar Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Diapar Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
CAUTION - Diapar Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Diapar Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. However, the use of Diapar Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
If you miss a dose of Diapar Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
