Disederm Cream is a combination of five medicines: Ofloxacin, Tinidazole, Terbinafine, Clobetasol and Disederm Cream 5. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic which kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and repairing themselves. Tinidazole is also is an antibiotic which kills other microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA. Terbinafine is an antifungal. It stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Clobetasol is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. D-Panthenol is a form of vitamin B which nourishes and moisturizes the skin.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Disederm Cream may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Disederm Cream is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
If you miss a dose of Disederm Cream, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
