Tuberculosis (TB)

In Tuberculosis (TB) Enamide 250mg Tablet is used to treat tuberculosis, an infectious disease that mainly affects the lungs but can affect other parts of the body as well. It stops the growth of infection causing bacteria and helps in treating the infection. Take it in the dose and duration advised by the doctor. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor as doing so may cause the infection to return or worsen. Follow your doctor?s instructions carefully to get maximum benefit.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. Alcohol

Pregnancy

Driving

Not Safe: Enamide 250mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Enamide 250mg Tablet may cause side effects such as drowsiness or a headache, that can impair your ability to drive.

Kidney

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Enamide 250mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Enamide 250mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Doctor consultation is advised. Dose adjustment may be needed in patients with end stage kidney disease.

Liver

Caution Advised: Enamide 250mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Enamide 250mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Enamide 250mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with the severe liver disease.

If a dose of Enamide 250mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

Enamide 250mg Tablet is effective at treating tuberculosis when taken together with other antibacterial drugs. It has to be taken for several months in order for it work properly (usually 6 months). Take it with food to avoid stomach upset. It can lower your blood sugar. If you have diabetes, monitor your blood sugar regularly. Your doctor may monitor your liver function, vision and thyroid function while on treatment with this medicine. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medication. Do not stop taking Enamide 250mg Tablet even if you start to feel better. Stopping early can result in treatment failure and in the development of drug-resistant tuberculosis. This can be life-threatening and lead to other serious health risks.
