In Prevention of Blood clots Eptifab 0.75mg/ml Infusion prevents new blood clots from forming and prevents the existing ones from getting bigger. It works by blocking a substance in the body which is involved in blood clotting. Thus it helps your blood flow smoothly throughout the body. This can help reduce damage caused by clots in your lungs (pulmonary embolism), brain (stroke), heart (heart attack) or other blood vessels (thrombosis). In Prevention of Heart attack It prevents blood from clotting inside the veins and arteries. This helps the blood flow freely around your body thereby preventing a heart attack or stroke (or deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism). Follow your doctor?s instructions carefully and make appropriate lifestyle changes (such as eating healthy and staying active) to maximize the effectiveness of this medicine.

Alcohol

Pregnancy

Breast feeding

Caution Advised: Eptifab 0.75mg/ml Infusion should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.

Driving

Kidney

Caution Advised: Eptifab 0.75mg/ml Infusion should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Eptifab 0.75mg/ml Infusion may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Eptifab 0.75mg/ml Infusion is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Liver

Seek medical advice from your doctor: There is limited information available on the use of Eptifab 0.75mg/ml Infusion in patients with liver disease. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Eptifab 0.75mg/ml Infusion is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

If a dose of Eptifab 0.75mg/ml Infusion is missed, it's advisable to consult your doctor.

Store in a refrigerator (2 - 8�C). Do not freeze.

It is usually given by your nurse or doctor as an infusion (drip) into a vein. It increases your risk of bleeding. Be careful while shaving, cutting fingernails or toenails or using sharp objects. Notify your doctor if you see blood in your vomit, urine or stool (black, tarry stools or bright red blood).
