Vertigo

In Vertigo Equitrix PV Tablet improves blood flow to the inner ear which reduces the pressure of excess fluid there. It is this pressure which is thought to cause the symptoms of nausea, vertigo (dizziness), tinnitus (ringing in your ears) and hearing loss in people who have Ménière?s disease. This medicine makes the symptoms milder and reduces the number of times you get the symptoms. It will be more effective if you take this medicine regularly as prescribed so try not to miss doses. It may take a couple of weeks before you notice any improvements but keep taking it, even if you do feel better, until your doctor advises it is safe to stop.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Upset stomach, Indigestion, Weight gain, Rash, Headache, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Nervousness, Abnormality of voluntary movements']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Equitrix PV Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Equitrix PV Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Betahistine, Ginkgo Biloba, Piracetam and Vinpocetine. Betahistine improves blood flow in the inner ear which reduces the pressure of excess fluid in the inner ear. Ginkgo Biloba and Vinpocetine increase blood flow to the brain and protect it from damage by harmful chemical substances (free radicals). Piracetam works by further protecting brain and nervous system against shortness of oxygen and also affects various channels on nerve cells.

Alcohol

Driving

UNSAFE - Equitrix PV Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Equitrix PV Tablet may cause drowsiness and shakiness. This may affect your driving ability.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Equitrix PV Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Equitrix PV Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Equitrix PV Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Equitrix PV Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Equitrix PV Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
