In Treatment of Bacterial infections Fimial-OZ Tablet used to treat certain bacterial infections such as bronchitis (infection of the tubes leading to the lungs), gonorrhea (a sexually transmitted disease), and infections of the ears, throat, stomach, urinary tract, bone, and joint. It works by stopping the growth of the bacteria causing infection. It is advisable to continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive. Ornidazole also is an antibiotic. It kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging their DNA. Lactobacillus is a probiotic.
