Flury P 40mg/5mg Capsule should be taken on empty stomach, but try to have it same time regularly at a fixed time preferably at night. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you. Lifestyle modifications like avoiding stress, smoking, and processed food items may help this medicine work better. Few common side effects of this medicine include weight gain, slow heart rate, tiredness, depression, drowsiness and cold extremities. It may cause sleepiness so try not to drive or do anything that requires mental focus or rise slowly while from sitting position. The drug has the ability to hide the symptoms of the blood sugar level, hence monitor your blood sugar level regularly as well as blood pressure while taking this medicine. Before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have liver or kidney, or depression disease, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is a very effective medicine for preventing migraine attacks, however, it does not treat an attack that has already started. By preventing and reducing the frequency migraine attacks, the medicine can help you carry out your daily activities and improve your quality of life.

Flury P 40mg/5mg Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Propranolol and Flunarizine, which prevents migraine. Propranolol is a beta blocker and Flunarizine is a calcium channel blocker. They work by stabilizing the reactive nerve cells and increasing the threshold to migraine activation. They also inhibit cortical spreading depression (CSD- electric waves that move across the brain and cause pain and inflammation).

Pregnancy
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Flury P 40mg/5mg Capsule may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Breast feeding

Driving
UNSAFE - Flury P 40mg/5mg Capsule may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Flury P 40mg/5mg Capsule may cause visual disturbances, hallucinations, fatigue, mental confusion, dizziness or tiredness. This may affect your driving ability.
Kidney
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Flury P 40mg/5mg Capsule is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Flury P 40mg/5mg Capsule may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION - Flury P 40mg/5mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Flury P 40mg/5mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is advisable for dose adjustment.
If you miss a dose of Flury P 40mg/5mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
