As a result of this, blood cannot flow smoothly to the heart, heart rate increases and it fails to pump blood effectively to other parts of the body. This puts a strain on the heart that can cause a chest pain or even a heart attack. Hapytel MT 40mg/25mg Tablet reduces pressure in the blood vessels. It relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily to your heart. This reduces strain on the heart and slows down heart rate. This further reduces the risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, or kidney problems in the future. You do not usually feel any direct benefit from taking this medicine, but it works in the long term to keep you well. You should take it regularly as prescribed for this medicine to be most effective, even if you feel better.

The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Hapytel MT 40mg/25mg Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Telmisartan and Metoprolol Succinate. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the chemical angiotensin, thereby relaxing blood vessels. Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and lower blood pressure. Together they allow the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.

Alcohol

Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Hapytel MT 40mg/25mg Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.

Pregnancy

Seek medical advice from your doctor: Hapytel MT 40mg/25mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Hapytel MT 40mg/25mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving

Not Safe: Hapytel MT 40mg/25mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

Safe when prescribed by an expert: Hapytel MT 40mg/25mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Hapytel MT 40mg/25mg Tablet is recommended.

Liver

Caution Advised: Hapytel MT 40mg/25mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Hapytel MT 40mg/25mg Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised.

If a dose of Hapytel MT 40mg/25mg Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.

Store in a cool and dry place, and keep the temperature below 30�C

You have been prescribed Hapytel MT 40mg/25mg Tablet for the treatment of high blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure reduces chance of future heart attack & strokes. It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor as it can cause sudden increase in your blood pressure.
