These infections may include otitis media (ear infection), rhinosinusitis (sinus infection), tonsillitis (infection of tonsils), dental abscess (tooth infection), pneumonia (lung infection), cellulitis (skin infection), and urinary tract infection. Usually, children start to feel better within 2-3 days of regular dosing. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is essential for the survival of the bacteria. On the other hand, the presence of cloxacillin increases the efficiency of this medicine and helps in treating the infections caused by resistant bacteria.
