Cough

In Cough Leodil Syrup gives relief from cough by loosening thick mucus and making it easier to cough it out. It also makes it easier for air to move in and out of your airways. This reduces the frequency of coughing and makes you feel better. Leodil Syrup also relieves allergy symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose or throat irritation. Along with medications, drink enough lukewarm water and gargle with warm salt water to ease the symptoms.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Allergic reaction, Sleepiness, Dizziness, Thickened respiratory tract secretions, Impaired coordination']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Leodil Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Leodil Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Ammonium Chloride, Sodium Citrate, Diphenhydramine and Menthol which relieve cough. Ammonium chloride is an expectorant which works by decreasing the stickiness of airway secretions and helps in their removal from the airways. Sodium citrate is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Diphenhydramine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Menthol is an organic compound which produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation.

Alcohol

UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Leodil Syrup.

Pregnancy

UNSAFE - Leodil Syrup is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Information regarding the use of Leodil Syrup during breastfeeding is not available. Please consult your doctor.

Driving

UNSAFE - Leodil Syrup may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

UNSAFE - Leodil Syrup is probably unsafe to use in patients with kidney disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Leodil Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Leodil Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Leodil Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
