Muscle pain

In Muscle pain Lofen MR Tablet treats muscle pain by relaxing stiff muscles. It also reduces swelling in the muscles. Altogether, it helps in easy movement and reduces discomfort. Once you see some improvement, you can start doing therapy exercises (such as walking or breathing exercises) that will help you get your strength back more quickly. Magnesium Trisilicate, an inorganic salt present in Lofen MR Tablet prevents acidity that may occur due to the painkillers.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Vomiting, Stomach pain, Loss of appetite, Sleepiness']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lofen MR Tablet is to be taken with food.

Lofen MR Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Diclofenac, Paracetamol, Chlorzoxazone and Magnesium Trisilicate which relieve pain and relax the muscles. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) and Paracetamol is an antipyretic (fever reducer). They work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever. Chlorzoxazone is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles. Magnesium Trisilicate is an inorganic salt that neutralizes the excess acid in the stomach.

UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Lofen MR Tablet.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Lofen MR Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Information regarding the use of Lofen MR Tablet during breastfeeding is not available. Please consult your doctor.

Driving

UNSAFE - Lofen MR Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.

Kidney

CAUTION - Lofen MR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Lofen MR Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

CAUTION - Lofen MR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Lofen MR Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. However, the use of Lofen MR Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.

If you miss a dose of Lofen MR Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
