In Treatment of Nausea Meclomide Suspension blocks the action of chemicals in the body that can make you feel or be sick. It is often used to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused due to some medicines or cancer treatment. This medicine helps you recover more comfortably from cancer treatments such as radiation therapy or chemotherapy. It is also effective at preventing nausea and vomiting after an operation (in adults only). The dose will depend on what you are being treated for but always take this medicine as it is prescribed. In Treatment of Indigestion Indigestion means discomfort of mainly the upper part of your stomach which may also have other symptoms such as stomach pain, bloating, feeling full etc. Meclomide Suspension improves the movement of food in your stomach and gut (intestine). This relieves these symptoms and helps in proper digestion of food. Take Meclomide Suspension as prescribed by the doctor. Think about what foods trigger indigestion and try to avoid them; eat smaller, more frequent meals; try to lose weight if you are overweight, and try to find ways to relax. Do not eat within 3-4 hours of going to bed. In Treatment of Heartburn Heartburn is a burning feeling in your chest caused by stomach acids traveling back up towards your throat and mouth (acid reflux). Meclomide Suspension improves the movement of food in the stomach and helps prevent heartburn. Some simple lifestyle changes can help stop or reduce heartburn. Think about what foods trigger heartburn and try to avoid them; eat smaller, more frequent meals; try to lose weight if you are overweight and try to find ways to relax. Do not eat within 3 to 4 hours of going to bed.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Fatigue, Weakness']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Meclomide Suspension is to be taken empty stomach.

Meclomide Suspension is a prokinetic. It works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach.

Alcohol

UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Meclomide Suspension.

Pregnancy

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Meclomide Suspension is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Meclomide Suspension is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving

UNSAFE - Meclomide Suspension may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Meclomide Suspension may cause drowsiness, dizziness, dyskinesia and dystonias which could affect the vision and may interfere with the ability to drive.

Kidney

CAUTION - Meclomide Suspension should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Meclomide Suspension may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Meclomide Suspension is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Meclomide Suspension may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Meclomide Suspension, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
