It is often used to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused due to some medicines or cancer treatment. This medicine helps you recover more comfortably from cancer treatments such as radiation therapy or chemotherapy. It is also effective at preventing nausea and vomiting after an operation (in adults only). The dose will depend on what you are being treated for but always take this medicine as it is prescribed. In Treatment of Heartburn Heartburn is a burning feeling in your chest caused by stomach acids traveling back up towards your throat and mouth (acid reflux). Metaclop 5mg Injection improves the movement of food in the stomach and helps prevent heartburn. Some simple lifestyle changes can help stop or reduce heartburn. Think about what foods trigger heartburn and try to avoid them; eat smaller, more frequent meals; try to lose weight if you are overweight and try to find ways to relax. Do not eat within 3 to 4 hours of going to bed.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them.

Metaclop 5mg Injection is a prokinetic. It works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach.
UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Metaclop 5mg Injection.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Metaclop 5mg Injection is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Metaclop 5mg Injection is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
UNSAFE - Metaclop 5mg Injection may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Metaclop 5mg Injection may cause drowsiness, dizziness, dyskinesia and dystonias which could affect the vision and may interfere with the ability to drive.
CAUTION - Metaclop 5mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Metaclop 5mg Injection may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Metaclop 5mg Injection is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Metaclop 5mg Injection may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
If you miss a dose of Metaclop 5mg Injection, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
