In Treatment of Bacterial infections Moxray 250 Tablet DT is a versatile antibiotic medicine which can be used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria. These include infections of the blood, brain, lungs, bones, joints, urinary tract, stomach and intestines. It can also be used to treat gum ulcers and other dental infections (abscesses), leg ulcers and pressure sores. It works by stopping the growth of the bacteria causing the infection. This medicine usually makes you feel better quite quickly. However, you should continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant. This medicine is generally safe to use while pregnant or breastfeeding, but you should ask your doctor.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Moxray 250 Tablet DT may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Moxray 250 Tablet DT is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.
SAFE - Consuming alcohol with Moxray 250 Tablet DT does not cause any harmful side effects.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Moxray 250 Tablet DT is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Moxray 250 Tablet DT is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.
UNSAFE - Moxray 250 Tablet DT may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Moxray 250 Tablet DT can have side effects and the symptoms (such as allergic reactions, dizziness and convulsions) may make you unfit to drive.
CAUTION - Moxray 250 Tablet DT should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Moxray 250 Tablet DT may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
CAUTION - Moxray 250 Tablet DT should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Moxray 250 Tablet DT may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Regular monitoring of liver function tests is recommended while you are taking this medicine
If you miss a dose of Moxray 250 Tablet DT, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
