Mygrain Tablet is a combination of four medicines: Caffeine, Ergotamine, Paracetamol and Prochlorperazine, which treats migraine. Caffeine increases the absorption of ergotamine and further narrows the widened blood vessels. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever). Prochlorperazine is an antiemetic (anti-nausea medicine) which works by blocking signals in the part of your brain that causes nausea/vomiting.
Alcohol
UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Mygrain Tablet.
Pregnancy
UNSAFE - Mygrain Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.
Breast feeding
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Mygrain Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. Occasional short-term use of Mygrain Tablet for the treatment of nausea and vomiting poses little risk to the breastfed infant.
Driving
UNSAFE - Mygrain Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
CAUTION - Mygrain Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Mygrain Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION - Mygrain Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Mygrain Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
If you miss a dose of Mygrain Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
