Ornidanox 500mg Tablet contains Ornidazole, a 5‑nitroimidazole that works against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa such as Giardia lamblia, Entamoeba histolytica, and Trichomonas vaginalis. It enters the cells of these organisms, damages their DNA, and stops their growth or kills them.

This medicine is used for short‑term treatment of selected gastrointestinal and genital infections where anaerobic or protozoal involvement is suspected.
