Ostonim MR Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of pain due to muscle spasm. It improves the movement of muscles and provides relief from pain and discomfort associated with muscle spasms. Ostonim MR Tablet may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. It is best taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for longer duration than recommended by your doctor. Using this medicine may cause few common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach upset, and sleepiness. If you experienced any such side effects that do not resolve with time or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent them. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ostonim MR Tablet is to be taken with food.
How it works
Ostonim MR Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Nimesulide, Paracetamol and Tizanidine which relieve pain and relax the muscles.Nimesulide is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) and Paracetamol is an antipyretic (fever reducer). They work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever. Tizanidine is a muscle relaxant. It works on brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.
Alcohol
UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Ostonim MR Tablet.
Pregnancy
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Ostonim MR Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
Breast feeding
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Information regarding the use of Ostonim MR Tablet during breastfeeding is not available. Please consult your doctor.
Driving
UNSAFE - Ostonim MR Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

CAUTION - Ostonim MR Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Ostonim MR Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
UNSAFE - Ostonim MR Tablet is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.
What If You Forget to take Ostonim MR Tablet 10s?
If you miss a dose of Ostonim MR Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
