Vomiting

In Vomiting Reg MPS Suspension blocks the action of chemicals in the body that can make you feel or be sick. It is often used to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused due to some medicines or cancer treatment. This medicine helps you recover more comfortably from cancer treatments such as radiation therapy or chemotherapy. It is also effective at preventing nausea and vomiting after an operation (in adults only). The dose will depend on what you are being treated for but always take this medicine as it is prescribed.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Diarrhea, Weakness, Parkinson-like symptoms, Sleepiness, Restlessness, Tremors, Depression, Muscle stiffness']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Reg MPS Suspension is to be taken empty stomach.

Reg MPS Suspension is a combination of two medicines: Metoclopramide and simethicone. Metoclopramide is a prokinetic which works on the region in the brain that controls vomiting. It also acts on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.

Alcohol

UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Reg MPS Suspension.

Pregnancy

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Reg MPS Suspension is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Reg MPS Suspension is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving

UNSAFE - Reg MPS Suspension may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive. Reg MPS Suspension may cause drowsiness, dizziness, dyskinesia and dystonias which could affect the vision and may interfere with the ability to drive.

Kidney

CAUTION - Reg MPS Suspension should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Reg MPS Suspension may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Reg MPS Suspension is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Reg MPS Suspension may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Reg MPS Suspension, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
