Solvin-OD Tablet SR is a combination medicine used in the treatment of allergy symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, throat irritation, watery eyes and congestion or stuffiness in the nose. Solvin-OD Tablet SR is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your healthcare team know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. The most common side effects are headache, dryness in mouth, nausea, vomiting, restlessness, and tiredness. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. It can also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can worsen your sleepiness. Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person. It is beneficial to have plenty of fluids while taking this medication. Directions for Use

How it works
Solvin-OD Tablet SR is a combination of two medicines: Levocetirizine and Pseudoephedrine, which relieves sneezing and runny nose caused due to allergies. Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) responsible for runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which narrows the small blood vessels providing temporary relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.
Alcohol
UNSAFE - Solvin-OD Tablet SR may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Pregnancy

Breast feeding
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Solvin-OD Tablet SR is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Driving
UNSAFE - Solvin-OD Tablet SR may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
CAUTION - Solvin-OD Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Solvin-OD Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Solvin-OD Tablet SR is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION - Solvin-OD Tablet SR should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Solvin-OD Tablet SR may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
What If You Forget to take Solvin OD 5/120mg Tablet SR 10s?
If you miss a dose of Solvin-OD Tablet SR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
