Sparid Tablet is used in the treatment of menstrual pain. It relaxes the muscles in your stomach or intestine and stops sudden muscle contractions, thereby relieving cramps and pain. It also blocks certain chemicals that cause pain and inflammation as well as disintegrates gas bubbles and relieves bloating. Sparid Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it in the exact dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not take more than or longer than the prescribed duration. An overdose or high dose may have harmful effects on your health. Use of this medicine can cause a few side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, heartburn, and indigestion. Taking plenty of fluid may help you overcome such side effects. If any of these symptoms persist or get worse, or if you experience any other symptoms which you think are caused by the medicine, you should let your doctor know. To make sure the medicine is safe for you, before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have any other preexisting medical conditions. How it works

Sparid Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Mefenamic Acid, Dicyclomine and Dimethicone. Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause abdominal pain and inflammation (swelling). Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions, thereby relieving cramps and pain. Dimethicone is a defoaming medicine which relieves bloating.
