Tuberculosis (TB)

In Tuberculosis (TB)Sporil 50mg Tablet is used to treat tuberculosis, an infectious disease that mainly affects the lungs but can affect other parts of the body as well. It kills the infection causing bacteria and helps in treating the infection. Take it in the dose and duration advised by the doctor. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor as doing so may cause the infection to return or worsen. Follow your doctor�s instructions carefully to get maximum benefit.

How to use Sporil Tablet Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sporil 50mg Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.

How Sporil Tablet works Sporil 50mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming their own protective covering (cell wall) which is required for their survival in the human body.

Alcohol

Unsafe: It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Sporil 50mg Tablet , as it may lead to symptoms such as flushing, increased heart rate, nausea, thirst, chest pain, and low blood pressure, known as a Disulfiram reaction.

Pregnancy

Sporil 50mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Doctor consultation is advised.

Breast feeding

Sporil 50mg Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.

Driving

Sporil 50mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

Liver

Sporil 50mg Tablet is used in combination with other medicines for the treatment of tuberculosis. Take it at the same time every day to help you remember to take it. Sporil 50mg Tablet may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Sporil 50mg Tablet as this may worsen the side effects. During treatment, you will need to have regular blood tests to monitor your kidney and liver function, blood cell counts and the amount of medicine in your blood. Stop taking Sporil 50mg Tablet and inform your doctor if you experience skin rashes, headaches, tremor, fits, problems with speech or movement, depression, or other changes in mood, thoughts or behavior. Do not stop taking this medicine until your doctor tells you to.
