In Treatment of Bacterial infections Starox Suspension is an antibiotic medicine that can be used to treat many different infections caused by bacteria. These include infections of the ear, nose, throat, lungs, skin, and eye in adults and children. It is also used for treating typhoid fever and some sexually transmitted diseases like gonorrhea. It works by stopping the growth of the bacteria causing the infection. This medicine usually makes you feel better quite quickly. However, you should continue taking it as long as it is prescribed even when you feel better, to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Vomiting, Abdominal pain, Diarrhea, Allergy']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Starox Suspension is to be taken empty stomach.

Starox Suspension is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.

Alcohol

SAFE - Consuming alcohol with Starox Suspension does not cause any harmful side effects.

Pregnancy

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Starox Suspension is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Breast feeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Starox Suspension is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby.

Driving

UNSAFE - Starox Suspension may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Starox Suspension is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Starox Suspension may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

CAUTION - Starox Suspension should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Starox Suspension may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Starox Suspension, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
