This medicine must be applied only to the affected eye. Use it regularly to get the most benefit. The course of the medicine should be completed even if you feel better. You must wash your hands before administering the medicine. Do not use it more than the recommended dose. Generally, this is a safe medicine. Directions for Use

How it works
Sulphacetamide is an antibiotic which stops bacteria from producing folic acid, a nutrient required for bacterial multiplication. This treats your infection. Hydrocortisone is a steroid medicine. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy. Phenyl Mercuric Nitrate is a preservative.
