This restricts the advancement of cancer to other unaffected regions. You need to follow your doctor?s instructions very carefully to recover. In Gastrointestinal stromal tumour A gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) is a type of tumor that occurs most commonly in the stomach or small intestine. The tumors develop into the specialized cells called interstitial cells of Cajal (ICCs). Sunimaps 12.5mg Tablet helps to kill the cancer cells and also stops their further growth and spread. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sunimaps 12.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Sunimaps 12.5mg Tablet is an anti-cancer medication. It works by binding and blocking certain cell surface protein (tyrosine kinase) responsible for the propagation of cancer growth. It also restricts the growth of new blood vessels within the tumor. This is how it prevents the proliferation of malignant cancers.

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Sunimaps 12.5mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
UNSAFE - Sunimaps 12.5mg Tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.
UNSAFE - Sunimaps 12.5mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Sunimaps 12.5mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Sunimaps 12.5mg Tablet is recommended.
CAUTION - Sunimaps 12.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Sunimaps 12.5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Limited information is available on the use of Sunimaps 12.5mg Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
If you miss a dose of Sunimaps 12.5mg Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
