Tespaz Oral Drops is a combination of two medicines: Dicyclomine and Simethicone. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic which works by relaxing the muscles in your stomach and gut (intestine). It stops sudden muscle contractions (spasms), thereby relieving abdominal cramps and pain. Simethicone is an antifoaming medicine which disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.

Pregnancy

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Tespaz Oral Drops is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.

Breast feeding

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Tespaz Oral Drops is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

Driving

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - It is not known whether Tespaz Oral Drops alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Kidney

CAUTION - Tespaz Oral Drops should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tespaz Oral Drops may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver

CAUTION - Tespaz Oral Drops should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Tespaz Oral Drops may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Tespaz Oral Drops, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
