Tozaar-AT Tablet is a medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It is a combination of two medicines that helps to control blood pressure when a single medication is not effective. It also helps to reduce chances of any future heart attack and stroke. You can take Tozaar-AT Tablet at any time of day, with or without food, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own because high blood pressure often has no symptoms. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse. Keeping active with regular exercise, reducing your weight and eating a healthy diet will also help control your blood pressure. Follow your doctor?s advice while taking this medicine. The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, taste change, constipation, diarrhea, and headache. Consult your doctor If any of these bother you, or get worse, or do not go away. Dizziness might occur as lowering of blood pressure, which get improved with time. It may increase the level of potassium in the blood, hence avoid potassium rich food and supplements. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any liver or kidney problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor for advice before taking this medicine. You also need to tell your doctor what other medicines you are taking especially those used to treat high blood pressure or heart conditions. You should have your blood pressure, liver function and electrolytes level such as potassium checked regularly to make sure that this medicine is working properly.

In Hypertension (high blood pressure) Tozaar-AT Tablet relaxes the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily around your body. It also blocks the effects of some chemicals on your heart and blood vessels. This slows down your heart rate and helps the heart beat with less force. As a result, your blood pressure is lowered and this helps in reducing your risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, other heart problems, or kidney problems in the future. This medicine needs to be taken regularly to be effective, so keep taking it even if you feel well. Do not stop without talking to your doctor.
The majority of side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention. and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Doctor consultation is advised if they persist or if you're worried about them. Follow your doctor's guidance regarding the dose and duration of this medication. Ingest it without breaking or crushing. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tozaar-AT Tablet can be taken it with or without food, although it's advisable to take it consistently at the same time.
Tozaar-AT Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Atenolol and Losartan. Atenolol is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and lower blood pressure. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels. Together they allow the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
Alcohol
Unsafe: Avoid consuming alcohol with Tozaar-AT Tablet 10 Tablet as it is deemed unsafe.
Pregnancy
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Tozaar-AT Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Doctor consultation is advised.
Breast feeding
Seek medical advice from your doctor: Tozaar-AT Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Driving
Not Safe: Tozaar-AT Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
Caution Advised: Tozaar-AT Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tozaar-AT Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended and can help in better dose adjustment.
Liver
Caution Advised: Tozaar-AT Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Tozaar-AT Tablet may be needed. Doctor consultation is advised. Use of Tozaar-AT Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
If a dose of Tozaar-AT Tablet 10 Tablet is missed, take it promptly. However, if your next dose is approaching, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Avoid doubling the dose.
