If you stop taking the medicine, it may increase your chance of having a heart attack. The most common side effect of Xygrel-AS Combikit is bleeding. You may have nosebleeds, heavier periods, or bruising. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about bleeding. Other potential side effects include upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, and breathlessness. Xygrel-AS Combikit is not suitable for some people. Do not use it if you are bleeding, you have had a stroke caused by bleeding in the brain, you have severe liver disease, or you are taking certain medicines. Prevention of Heart attack
In Prevention of Heart attack Xygrel-AS Combikit prevents blood from clotting inside the veins and arteries. This helps the blood flow freely around your body thereby preventing a heart attack or stroke (or deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism). Take this medicine regularly and make appropriate lifestyle changes to achieve maximum benefits. It is often prescribed along with a low dose of aspirin which also helps to prevent blood from clotting.
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Nausea, Vomiting, Breathlessness']
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label before use. Xygrel-AS Combikit may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Xygrel-AS Combikit is a combination of two medicines : Ticagrelor and Aspirin. Ticagrelor is an antiplatelet medication while Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with anti-platelet action. Together, they work by preventing platelets from sticking together which decreases the formation of harmful blood clots. This lowers the chance of heart attack or stroke.
