Insomnia

In Insomnia Zolsoma 5 Tablet helps treat insomnia (difficulty falling or staying asleep) in people who have problems related to their sleeping habits. Insomnia may cause you to wake up earlier than usual and you may find it difficult to go back to sleep. It works by slowing down the abnormal activity of nerves in the brain to allow sleep. It also improves the sleep-wake cycle and restores it to normal. This helps you relax, feel calm and more energetic. It also helps you concentrate better and improves your quality of life.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Diarrhea, Headache, Dizziness, Drowsiness']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zolsoma 5 Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

Zolsoma 5 Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Melatonin and Zolpidem which work on your brain to make you feel relaxed and sleepy. Melatonin is a natural hormone which regulates the sleep-wake cycle and helps fall asleep. Zolpidem is a sedative which works by slowing activity of the nerve cells in the brain and helps sleep for longer.

Alcohol

UNSAFE - It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Zolsoma 5 Tablet.

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Zolsoma 5 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Zolsoma 5 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. Zolsoma 5 Tablet is safe as per American Association of Pregnancy.

Driving

UNSAFE - Zolsoma 5 Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - There is limited information available on the use of Zolsoma 5 Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor. However, based on the limited information available it is advised that Zolsoma 5 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease.

Liver

CAUTION - Zolsoma 5 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Zolsoma 5 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Zolsoma 5 Tablet is generally started at a low dose in patients with mild to moderate liver disease and is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

If you miss a dose of Zolsoma 5 Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
