Zubiflox Forte Syrup is given to children to treat the symptoms of acute diarrhea and dysentery caused due to bacterial infections. It kills the diarrhea-causing microorganism, restores the level of water and electrolytes, and reduces the symptoms, severity, and duration of illness.Give Zubiflox Forte Syrup to your child orally either before or after food. For best results, you must also keep giving ORS (oral rehydration solution) throughout the day. Usually, Zubiflox Forte Syrup is prescribed two times a day, once in the morning and once at bedtime. However, this dose may vary depending upon your child�s symptoms, body weight, and age. So, adhere to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor. Repeat the dose if your child vomits within 30 minutes of the intake of Zubiflox Forte Syrup. However, do not double the dose if it is already time for the next dose.Some children may develop minor and short-term side effects after the intake of this medicine. These include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, headache, skin rash, and itching. These episodes are temporary and subside on their own. However, in case they persist for long or start bothering your child, you must consult your child�s doctor without any delay.Do inform your child�s doctor if your child has ever had any previous episode of allergy, bowel obstruction, electrolyte imbalance, heart problem, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction. This will guide the doctor in planning your child�s overall treatment.

Your child may start to feel better after getting treated for a few days to a week. However, do not extend the course or stop the medicine by yourself without consulting your child�s doctor. This may lead to the recurrence of symptoms.In Treatment of Dysentery Dysentery or amoebic dysentery is a parasitic infection of the intestines that occurs mostly due to intake of contaminated food or water. The symptoms include loose stools (diarrhea), stomach cramps, and stomach pain. Zubiflox Forte Syrup helps to treat this infection by killing the infection causing parasites. How Zubiflox Syrup works Zubiflox Forte Syrup contains three medicines Ofloxacin, Ornidazole, and Racecadotril. Together, these ingredients prove effective against diarrhea and dysentery. Racecadotril is an enkephalinase inhibitor that has anti-secretory effects. Simply put, this particular active ingredient reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes from the intestine. This helps reduce the amount of fluid lost from the body in diarrhea. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from reproducing and causing infection. Ornidazole is also an antibiotic that kills other microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA.

Zubiflox Forte Syrup should be used together with an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to provide adequate fluid and electrolyte replacement. Give your child plenty of fluids to replenish water and mineral loss. Zubiflox Forte Syrup may cause an altered taste. Eating citrus fruit or sipping plenty of water or fruit juice may help. Do not mix Zubiflox Forte Syrup along with any other herbal or ayurvedic medicine as it can harm.
