Cough with mucus

In Cough with mucus Zymogen AX Syrup gives relief from cough with mucus. It helps to loosen thick mucus, making it easier to cough out. It also relaxes the muscles of the airways and widens it. This makes breathing easy and reduces the frequency of coughing. Zymogen AX Syrup also relieves allergy symptoms like itchy or watery eyes, sneezing and runny nose. Apart from this, it produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation. Zymogen AX Syrup usually starts to work within a few minutes and the effects can last up to several hours. Along with medications, drink enough luke warm water and gargle with warm salt water to ease the symptoms.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you're worried about them. ['Vomiting, Headache, Increased heart rate, Nausea, Upset stomach']

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Zymogen AX Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Zymogen AX Syrup is a combination of four medicines: Terbutaline, Ambroxol, Guaifenesin and Flavoured Mentholated base which relieve cough with mucus. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Flavoured Mentholated base produces a cooling sensation and relieves minor throat irritation.

Alcohol

Pregnancy

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - Zymogen AX Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

Breast feeding

SAFE IF PRESCRIBED - Zymogen AX Syrup is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Driving

CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR - It is not known whether Zymogen AX Syrup alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Kidney

CAUTION - Zymogen AX Syrup should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Zymogen AX Syrup may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Limited information is available on the use of Zymogen AX Syrup in these patients.

Liver
