How Chlordiazepoxide and Clidinium work Chlordiazepoxide and Clidinium is a combination of two medicines: Chlordiazepoxide and Clidinium. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine that increases the action of GABA, a chemical messenger that suppresses abnormal and excessive activity of nerve cells in the brain. Clidinium relaxes the muscles in the stomach and intestines, stopping sudden muscle contractions (spasms) that relieve cramps, pain, bloating, and discomfort.

Common side effects of Chlordiazepoxide and Clidinium include sleepiness, nausea, constipation, memory impairment, dizziness, blurred vision, dry mouth, difficulty urinating, impaired coordination, and depression.
