Isoniazid is used in the treatment of tuberculosis. It is also used to treat inactive (latent) TB.

How Isoniazid works: Isoniazid is an antibiotic that kills the bacteria causing tuberculosis.

Side Effects

Common side effects of Isoniazid include peripheral neuropathy (tingling and numbness in the feet and hands), hepatitis (inflammation of the liver), skin rash, lethargy, and increased liver enzymes.

Isoniazid is best taken on an empty stomach.
