Uses
Pregabalin is used in the treatment of neuropathic pain, anxiety disorder, fibromyalgia, and seizures associated with epilepsy.
How it Works
How Pregabalin works Pregabalin is an antiepileptic medication. When used for epilepsy, it is believed to reduce abnormal electrical activity in the brain, thereby preventing seizures. It is also utilized to treat nerve pain by blocking pain signals traveling through damaged nerves to the brain. For the treatment of anxiety, it is thought to work by inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers (neurotransmitters) that contribute to feelings of anxiety.
Side Effects
Common side effects of Pregabalin include sleepiness, weight gain, dryness in the mouth, blurred vision, dizziness, and peripheral edema.

- Again, inform your doctor immediately if you notice any vision changes.

- Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without discussing it with your doctor, as this may increase the frequency of seizures.
